How to change Wifi Settings on Speedport W 503V Router 

Many of us at home have routers who are setup from the store where we were buying and very often on your Wifi home network the name is very weird or it is like the model of the router we bought. Here in this post you will see step by step guide and after that you can change it yourself.

First thing you should do for the Speedport W 503V router is to open mozilla or other brouwser and to type in it:  192.168.178.1

After doing that, on your screen will apear welcome screen from the router. If doesn't apear nothing on the screen then go to Control Panel => Network and Sharing Centar => Local Area Connection
and click on details.

 There you should see details about your connection and the thing you should find is default gateway ip address.

Default user name and password for the Speedport W 503V are admin.
User name: admin
Password: admin

Now you have entered inside of the Speedport W 503V router. Next thing you should do is to click on WLAN.   On the left there is Radio Settings, click on it. Look for the Name of the radio network (SSID) input text field.  Now change the name on your Wifi Network and click Apply.

You are now done. Connect from your devices on your new Wifi network, use the same password you have used before.

If you like to change and the password then follow same steps and instead of clicking Radio Settings click on Security and in the WPA KEY field type your new password and click Apply. 

After doing all these steps, if you have problem connecting to your new network then go again in Control Panel, => Network and Sharing Center, => Manage Wireless Networks and Right click on your network and click Remove Network.

Than you can try again to connect to your new Wireless Network.
